Three former governors of Abia State — Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator T. A. Orji (Ochendo), and Ambassador Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu — have joined members of the political group, OUR TEAM 1999-2023, to mourn with Chief Eze Chikamnayo, Esq., over the passing of his elder sister.

Chief Chikamnayo, a former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Abia State and Director of Media and Publicity Sub-committee of the Technical Committee of OUR TEAM 1999-2023, lost his immediate elder sister, Late Matron Jane Chinyereugo Ezeh (JP), Nee Ezeh.
In a statement signed by Professor A. C. B. Agbazuere, Chairman of the Technical Committee of OUR TEAM 1999-2023, and Sir Don Ubani, KSC, JP, Secretary of the group, the leaders described their loss as personal, having worked closely with Chief Chikamnayo for many years.
“As a group of political and bureaucratic actors that has worked closely with Chief Chikamnayo for a reasonable length of time, we share the pains associated with such a loss with him,” the statement read.
The group offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased and for strength for her grieving family.
“Our prayer is that her soul will rest peacefully in the Lord, and that those she left behind will bear the loss with fortitude,” the statement added.
Professor Agbazuere, on behalf of the group, cordially invited members to attend the burial ceremony. The funeral will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Isuochi, in Umunneochi Local Government Area, at 10:30 am on Thursday, 9th April, 2026.
The statement reads in part:

Jane Chinyereugo Ezeh (JP), Nee Ezeh.
