The Senate has confirmed three non-career ambassadorial nominees.
They are Lateef Kayode Kolawole Are (Ogun State ), Aminu Muhammad Dalhatu (Jigawa), and Emmanuel Ayodele Oke (Oyo).
The confirmation, which was done on Tuesday in Abuja, followed the consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The committee, in its report, observed that the nominees possessed the required qualifications, experience, conduct and character to represent Nigeria as non-career ambassadors.
The report added that the three nominees also displayed an understanding of international diplomacy during their screening.
The three nominees were the first set forwarded to the Senate by President Bola Tinubu two weeks ago.
There are 64 more nominees, comprising career and non-career ambassadors, awaiting confirmation.
