Black Marine, a separatist armed group operating in the Bakassi Peninsula and believed by local sources to have links to the Nigerian-based Biafra Nations League (BnL), has reportedly launched an attack on the headquarters of Cameroon’s Rapids d’Intervention Battalions (BIR) in Abana, IgbereTV has learned.

The incident follows earlier reports that the group forced workers at the Abana Administrative Headquarters to vacate the area, allowing the fighters to seize control of the location before advancing toward the BIR facility.
In a separate development, multiple explosions were reported along the oil-rich maritime borders of Atabong East, resulting in the deaths of 11 members of the Joint Border Patrol, according to preliminary security updates.
No armed group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Authorities in Nigeria and Cameroon have not yet issued official statements, while security analysts warn that tensions in the Bakassi region continue to escalate due to renewed clashes between armed groups and government forces.
