Soludo: Communique from Ecumenical Nexus of Traditional Worshippers Association Of Nigeria

An explicit communique from the ecumenical Nexus of “Traditional Worshippers Association Of Nigeria”

Dear Gov Charles Soludo,

If you must stop all Ezenwanyi(priestess)from going to the river to enact and exercise their Traditional right, then you must do same to all Christian religious bodies and clergy men and women in the state from using our river as a place of baptism and prayer…Failure to mandate this law may lead to religious marine battle and conflict between the two religious brotherhoods.

Over the years now our water has continously been polluted by this means baptism which have to do with body washing and dipping…Our children, fathers, mothers and love ones have underwent from dangerous series of illness contacted from the water as a result of baptismal process of undiagnosed Christian bodies

How can one who encompasses hepatitis B and other dangerous viral diseases without proper medical diagnosis and evaluation be found in the same water with one who doesn’t retain such deadly contagious medical record be identical in the same water in the name baptism?

What medical risk do you expect at the end as a learned leader?

It is a complete risk to our entire society, community and state as long as the river keep flowing.

Contagious and viral infection and diseases should never be look down on.

We applaud your quest to eradicate criminality and insecurity in the state..But your executive order is perceived, glimpsed as bias and discrimination and we assumed that by same order your administration targets only the traditional practisers by using the Indigenous people against the Indigenous people to divide and rule and to destroy our true ancient land mark.

The security outfit you assign to check mate and regulate the order you passed on Traditional Practisers are using the appendages and power confered to abused the legitimacy of the people who believe in their true ancient Traditional faith.

It is nolonger a legal system of eradication but a criminal plug and a pattern to abuse and steal from our fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers who are the earth representative of the ancestral spirits and justice system.

If you fold your hands and watch this abuse and inhumane act sh00ting…You may end up having yourself at the mercy of your ancestors who are also the pioneers of traditional landmark.

His excellency sir..Let it ring to you sir that Àgwù nsi,Àjani,Ikenga,Chukwu,Anyanwù na agbara, and all Igbo ancestral deities that embody true justice does not forget an ill done to her own easily.

If you must hault our mothers and sisters from using the water bank or stream for their genuine prayer ritual and exercise ,you must also do same to all the Christian bodies.

His excellency, you’re not a governor of the Christians alone and Anambra state is not a state occupied by Christians.

We have multiple religions and religious worshippers as Indigenous and visitors…..Both religious organisations voted you into leadership and you must not be selfish, discriminatory, bias, and blasphemous in execution of your order and principles.

If you must terminate environmental noise pollution by the Christian followers in your state ensure you pass a bill on it,else you’ll infinitely be seen as a bias and a blasphemous leader of this existing era.

Signed Atasie Wisdom
