The crowd was pure organic, the air was electric with sincere deep buried gratitude, in one of the pictures you saw a guy sat in the middle of the road removing his shirt for him to come and walk on. You remember the famous guy that blocked Peter Obi’s traffic. 
His visit was unannounced, yet he arrived to inspect projects at ABA, the famous Nzogbu! Nzogbu!! Enyimba ENYI city. The city that late Ikemba of Nnewi Emeka Ojukwu, one of the greatest Igbos that ever lived proclaimed the heartland of Igbo land. The city that was in such poor condition, that forced the late Dee Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe to weep. The city that the World Bank on a visit proclaimed has the biggest clusters of small scale industries in Africa, after visiting the Ariaria International Market.
A city that is hard to please, a city that its citizens are so fearless that they have thrown stones and pure water to former leaders in his position. That’s the very same city that the people, young and old, struggled to contain their excitement. Some called out his name, while others shouted words of praise and admiration.
The leader, humbled by the outpouring of affection, smiled warmly as he made his way through the crowd, waving, shaking hands and exchanging words of encouragement.
As the sun beat down on the bustling streets, a sense of excitement and anticipation filled the air. The people are no fouls, even though the opposition party that just lost election are busy in various handful WhatsApp groups tagging them as one. The people used to fail promises that have grown like iroko trees, are witnessing an unimaginable creativity in leadership.
All the potholes have disappeared
All the refuse dump sites have disappeared
All the bad roads had disappeared
All the dark streets at night are disappearing
Where there used to heaps of refuse…
A fountain of water has sprung up ⛲
He is delivering it as if by magic
The people of the Aba community had grown accustomed to the sight of refuse dump sites everywhere are wondering if they are day dreaming.
Before ABA was tagged, “ABA DIRTY” a badge the citizens carry with shame. One of the pillars of WhatsApp position groups, because that’s the only place opposition exists in Abia State. He snaked in and was carried way when truth confronted propaganda. And, the spirit of truth came upon him and proclaimed ABA THE NEATEST CITY IN NIGERIA TODAY. He was shocked to see, shocked to his marrows at the disappeared sites of 3 story building heights of refuse dumps they abandoned at Ariaria by Port Harcourt expressway, all across Port Harcourt road, Umungasi, Ngwa road, Ogborhill let me stop and not bore you with a memories that faded in less than a year of his leadership.
ABA people were happy and rushed out in jubilations, in their lifetime God has given them a leader, not a ruler. A leader who has removed that shame. A man of unwavering dedication and unrelenting passion. That’s why on stepping out to inspect the various projects that had transformed their once-neglected neighborhood into a thriving hub of construction activities. Their excitement knows no bound. You see how an organic crowd is built.
Rulers have been visiting, even this one they mock us by tagging him our Messiah, without knowing that the spirit of truth was forcing them into confession, has also visited. But on this particular day, the crowd’s enthusiasm threatened to boil over into positive chaos, because the crowd saw the restrictions of the security officers as a hindrance to showing strong love to him.
As the leader emerged from his vehicle, ok, we accept the Abia WhatsApp noisemaking opposition groups tag, as the Messiah emerged, a sea of outstretched hands and beaming faces surged forward, eager to catch a glimpse of the man who had brought about such profound change, in such a short period of time.
Despite the chaos, the leader’s security detail struggled to maintain a semblance of order, as the crowd’s enthusiasm threatened to spill over into a full-blown mob scene. But the leader, undaunted by the frenzy, pressed on, driven by his unwavering commitment to his people and their well-being. The air of pure genius prevailed the atmosphere, because he was smart enough to know that this is a genuine love. He stepped out to interact with his people.
As he inspected the projects, the leader’s eyes sparkled as the people’s sense of pride has been restored. It’s not even up to 2 years he was elected into office, but the peoples faces are already aglow with a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. Alex Otti! Alex Otti!! Alex Otti!!! screams, shouting and expression that no written words can explain rent the atmosphere.
The people who have sensed their leader’s genuine interest and concern to transform Abia State are just responding in kind. Alex Otti! Alex Otti!! Alex Otti!! Peter Obi was here, but a greater than Obi is here. Fathers always want their son to be better than them. Alex Otti! Alex Otti!! Alex Otti!!!

The peoples hope and dreams have been restored, their fears and anxieties have been reduced. AAAlex Otti! AAAlex Otti!! AAAlex Otti!!! the leader they have waited for decades has arrived, with his characteristic empathy and compassion. A leader that even the former opposition CP confirmed listens. In Abia State today there’s an air of comfort and reassurance, that’s why investors are rushing through that path.
As the day drew to a close, the leader, flanked by his security detail, made his way back to his vehicle, the crowd surging forward once more to bid him farewell. And as he drove away, the people, still buzzing with excitement, couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude and admiration for the leader who had brought about such a transformative change in their lives.
