A man has taken to social media to express his frustration after suspected Fulani herdsmen allegedly destroyed his 20-acre cassava farm in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.
He shared his ordeal, saying: “I arrived at the farm yesterday only to witness the devastation caused by roaming Fulani herdsmen on our 20-acre cassava plantation.
“Despite investing heavily in chain-link fencing around the perimeter, these intruders still managed to break in overnight, causing massive destruction. Now, I truly understand why the farmer-herdsmen conflict persists in this country.”
He further explained that they had just finished harvesting corn from the farm, leaving only the cassava plants to mature. Unfortunately, the herdsmen allegedly invaded the farm overnight and destroyed everything.
