Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has congratulated Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu on her appointment as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a press release by Ferdinand Ekeoma, Special Adviser to the Governor (Media and Publicity), Otti described the appointment as “excellent and befitting” due to Ojukwu’s rich qualities, experience, and unblemished record of excellence. “Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu’s appointment isn’t just excellent and befitting, but one that will bring huge benefits to the nation,” he said.
A former Ambassador to Spain and wife of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca Ojukwu is renowned for her diplomacy, pageant wins, and commitment to public service. Her character, courage, and consistency in promoting justice and good governance have demonstrated her love for humanity and commitment to addressing Nigeria’s socio-political and economic challenges.
Governor Otti expressed confidence that Ojukwu’s appointment will advance Nigeria’s foreign policy and diplomatic relationships, benefiting the nation and its citizens abroad. He urged Ojukwu to utilize her new role to further contribute to nation-building, assuring her of the people of Abia State’s solidarity and support for her success.
