Hon. Jim Okolo To Lead Nigeria's Delegates To Observe US Presidential Election

The Chairman/CEO, Jimez Petroleum Resources Limited, Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie has received accreditation as Nigerian Team Lead for the upcoming US presidential election.

With this, he is among the selected lead team to lead Nigeria Delegates to be part of international observers in the November 6 high-stake election in which the former President, Donald Trump is seeking a return, plotting to upstage the incumbent Democratic Party government.

Already, his Republican party has had a heated campaign against the Vice President, Kamala Harris who is the candidate of the Democratic Party.

Hon. Okolo received his accreditation kits and tag from NGO Nouvelle Perspective under the auspices of the United Nations.

AbujaPress sighted his accreditation number 16/US-2024.

Hon. Okolo has had a high profile global engagements in recent times especially with regards to building democratic culture and ensuring the sanctity of the ballot.

Not long ago, he also got accreditation as Nigerian Team Lead of Int’l Elections Observers by the UN/ Switzerland government.

Credibility in electoral process is one of the areas he is passionate about as an advocate of good governance.

He was first appointed as International Elections Diplomat by the United Nations after an intensive training which took place in the University of Lome, Togo in March.

Along with others from within West African sub-region, they were certified and appointed on the mission after the training which covers general information on electoral observation, legal framework for AU electoral observation missions, electoral process and security of electoral processes.

University of Lome in partnership with UN and AU trained and certified Hon. Jim Okolo and other selected delegates as electoral experts which gave rise to his appointment as the National Coordinator of Nigeria

Late last year, he was appointed and inducted as United Nations Mayor for World Peace at an event in Abuja.

Also late last year, the United States Latino America Chamber of Commerce (USLACC) unveiled him as its Nigeria’s Country Representative.
