SSA to President on School Feeding Dr. Adeniji Voted Social Welfare Icon of the Year at 6th LEEX

 

Dr. Yetunde Adeniji, Senior Special Assistant to the President on School Feeding, has emerged as the Social Welfare Icon of the Year at the 6th Leadership Excellence Awards (LEEX), with an impressive 38,923 votes. This prestigious award recognizes her tireless efforts in promoting social welfare and implementing impactful school feeding programs.

Dr. Adeniji outshone other notable nominees, including Williams Uchemba (31,643 votes), Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (31,640 votes), and Dr. Ini Adiakpan (14,327 votes), in a 13-day nationwide online poll monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

 

Her passion for humanity drives her commitment to social welfare and education. “I’m motivated by a passion for humanity,” Dr. Adeniji shared during her profiling with Igbere TV.

The 6th LEEX Awards, endorsed by the African Union and African Film Institute, will be held at the NAF Conference Hall in Abuja on November 2. The event will be chaired by former Abia state governor, Senator T.A. Orji, with a keynote address by former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba.

 

As Senior Special Assistant to the President on School Feeding, Dr. Adeniji has been instrumental in implementing and overseeing the National Home-Grown School Feeding Program, aimed at providing nutritious meals to millions of Nigerian children.

Her dedication to social welfare and education has earned her recognition and respect from various stakeholders. This award is a testament to her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.
