Before Tinubu Became President, Things Weren't Good — Minister

Nigerians have been urged to exercise patience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as it attempts to address the nation’s issues by Minister of Women Affairs Mrs. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye.

Ohanenye made the appeal at a humanitarian event when she gave away supplies to help the underprivileged in Awka, the state capital of Anambra State. To lessen the struggles that the community’s most vulnerable families experience, 5,000 bags of 10 kg rice, 300 gas cylinders, and 500 bags of 50 kg fertilizer were distributed.

While acknowledging the difficult circumstances that many Nigerians are going through, Ohanenye stressed in her speech that it would take time for the government to make improvements. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

She affirmed her faith in Tinubu’s ability to govern and her dedication to improving the nation.

“I beg you to be patient with the president,” the Minister said. He is making every effort to alter the detrimental behaviors that have severely damaged the country’s economy. Give the president some time, and things will start to get better in the upcoming months.

“He needs time to tidy up the mess that the last government left behind. To be honest, things weren’t good before President Tinubu came office, and he is making a lot of effort to make Nigerians happy.

She claims that the Tinubu-led government has implemented a number of social security programs meant to improve Nigerians, particularly the underprivileged.

She urged people to turn in their BVN so that the government could make plans and help the underprivileged.

In order to determine who is eligible for federal social security palliatives, the BVN assists the government. The impoverished, who have long had access to these resources, are the target audience for the charity, not the wealthy, she continued.
