History was made today as the first all-girls OPM Technical College in Nigeria held its entrance examination, marking a significant milestone in empowering the girl child.
According to King Apostle Chibuzor, the college’s founder, “The girl child needs to be financially empowered before she even enters university. Many female students are forced into prostitution due to lack of financial support.”
The OPM Technical College aims to address this issue by providing free technical education to girls from all denominations and backgrounds. The college offers a unique blend of theoretical and practical courses, with 50% focus on technical skills.
Courses offered include:
1. Auto mechanic repair
2. Welding
3. Generator repair
4. Fashion design
5. Electrical/Electronics repair
6. ICT training/repair of computers
7. Fabrication
8. Food and nutrition
9. Furniture making
10. Shoe making
11. Building and house construction
12. Hair making
13. GSM phone repair
14. Agriculture
15. Facinator training
Successful students will receive:
1. Free coveralls for practicals
2. Free safety boots
3. Free school uniforms
4. Free school sandals
5. Free school books
The college also provides practical industrial attachment training.
King Apostle Chibuzor emphasized, “Empowering the girl child for the next generation is our mission.”
The college is fully funded through tithes and offerings from OPM Church.

“History shall be made today 21 September 2024.
As the first all girls OPM technical college in Nigeria will be having its first Entrance Examination today.
In Nigeria there are technical college for both girls and boys.
In Nigeria there are also technical colleges for only boys.
But in Nigeria there are no technical colleges only for girls.
The girl child need to be financially empowered before she even enters university.
Because in university a lot go on especially those that there parents are not financially strong to handle all there academic needs.
This is one of the many reasons many female students go in prostitution in other to meet up to there academic and physical needs .
So with the All girls OPM free technical college. While attending college they learn different trades which can be useful if they decide to stop at college level or they decide to proceed to university.
The best way to solve a problem to deal with it from the root.
“The normal course will go hand in hand with the technical courses.
And it will be 50% normal courses and 50 % practical technical courses.

This school is open for Muslims or Christians from all denomination.

Note: Interested students are to come along with there parents or adult garden and a photocopy of there testimonial and basic 6 results from there primary school.
For now No free accommodation for student to reside coming from far, but we are making arrangements for future free accommodation and free feeding for those coming from outside port harcourt.
