Akwa Ibom PDP Receives Assurances From Uruan, Ibesikpo LGAs Ahead LG Polls

 

In a visible display of party unity and political strength, Uruan and Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Areas witnessed a massive turnout during the campaign flag-off ceremonies for the upcoming Local Government elections.

The PDP chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan, accompanied by the new State Working Committee members, presented flags to the chairmanship and councilorship candidates at the respective council headquarters.

 

At Ibesikpo Asutan, the State Chairman of the PDP, Elder Aniekan Akpan commended the party faithful for the solidarity and posited the choice of Mr. Edidiong Inyang as the chairmanship candidate, has united Ibesikpo Asutan for PDP.

 

“We assure you that you will win, You are really a blessing to Ibesikpo Asutan when you come on board, key in the the ARISE agenda and take the message of goodwill to the

Grassroots.”

 

 

He further said that he will deliver the encomiums of Ibesikpo people to the Governor.

 

In their separate goodwill messages, Stakeholders took turns to eulogise Governor Umo Eno over his numerous infrastructural projects in the area and endorsed Inyang’s candidacy.

 

 

The Member representing Ibesikpo Asutan at the House of Assembly, Hon. Ubong Attah said that the Governor has done excellently well and assured that they will win the elections for PDP.

 

“We don’t have any reason not to return the PDP across board.

“If you look at the sky, you’ll see the prayers of the saints, this is not ordinary cloud, these are the prayers of the less privileged, students, widows who have benefited from the Governor.”

 

Also the Commissioner for Finance, Dr Nsikak Linus Nkan thanked the state party Chairman and his entourage for coming to confirm their choice as chairman.

 

The Transition Chairman, Mrs Akon Asuquo thanked Governor Eno for his commitment to developing the area.

 

They all extended their gratitude to the Governor saying his first major project flagoff was in Ibesikpo Asutan and his first commissioning of executed projects, took place in the area.

 

In his vote of thanks, the PDP chairmanship candidate, Edidiong Inyang thanked the Governor for finding him worthy and described him as a man that rewards loyalty.

 

He also thanked the party chairman and assured that he will not fail PDP as he will take Ibesikpo Asutan to a greater destination.

 

Inyang promised to bring inclusive governance and tangible change to the local government area.

 

Similarly at Uruan, RT Hon Aniekan Akpan, PDP State Chairman, presented the party flag to Rt Hon Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong, Chairmanship candidate, and all 13 Councillorship candidates.

 

The Chairmanship candidate, Survy Iniobong Ekpenyong, expressed gratitude to Pastor Umo Eno and the State Party for the privilege and promised to replicate the ARISE agenda in Uruan Local Government with tangible impact.

 

He further vowed to work tirelessly to deliver on the party’s promise of effective governance and people-centered leadership.

 

The event, which took place at Idu mini stadium, Uruan local government council, was attended by key party stakeholders, including The transition Chairman Hon Uduak Daniel Udoenang,Gen Koko Essien retired,

Prince Godwin Ntukudeh PhD, Hon Dr Mrs Itoro Etim, Mr. Okon Okon, Mr Ime Okon, and a host of others.
