Port Harcourt , Rivers State – The OPM Free All Girls Technical College has announced a change in the date for its entrance examination, now scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 7am. The college, dedicated to empowering the girl child through education and skills training, offers a unique blend of academic and technical courses.
According to the college’s mission statement, “empowering the girl child for the next generation” is the driving force behind this initiative.
The institution’s founder HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere in a post on his verified Facebook page emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency, stating, “She will be doing something with her hands and not her body to survive in the university campus.”
The college’s curriculum includes a range of technical courses, such as auto mechanics, welding, fashion design, electrical/electronics repair, and more. Successful students will receive free uniforms, safety boots, school books, and other benefits.The college is open to girls from all denominations and backgrounds.
While the college currently does not offer free accommodation for students from afar, plans are underway to provide this support in the future. “We are making arrangements for future free accommodation and free feeding for those coming from outside Port Harcourt,” the founder noted.
Interested students are required to attend the entrance exam with their parents or guardians, bringing a photocopy of their primary school testimonial and basic 6 results.
The college is fully funded through tithes and offerings from OPM Church, a testament to the community’s commitment to empowering the girl child.

This is a college and also a technical college for girls only.
Reasons for this college is to empower the girl child from a very tender age so that before she can enter into university she is already finically empowered, so she does not to look at any man to survive in the university.
She will doing something with her hands and not her body to survive in the university campus.
The normal course will go hand in hand with the technical courses.
And it will be 50% normal courses and 50 % practical technical courses.
