Port Harcourt, Nigeria – HRM King Apostle Chibuzor, General Overseer of OPM Worldwide, has announced new arrangements with high-standard local private universities in Nigeria to complement the church’s international scholarship program. This move comes as a response to the ban on universities in Benin Republic and Togo.
In a Facebook post, King Apostle Chibuzor stated, “Until GOD touches the heart of our president Bola tinubu to lift the ban on all the universities in Benin Republic and Togo… the man of GOD has started making new arrangements with some high standard local private universities in Nigeria that are like overseas standard to cover up our international scholarship.”
The church has partnered with universities like UNIPORT, UST, IGNATIUS AJURU UNIVERSITY, UNICAL, and UNIUYO for local scholarships. Additionally, the church has established relationships with British American University and Wigwe University, offering special prize deductions due to the high volume of students receiving scholarships from OPM Church.
On August 8, 2024, King Apostle Chibuzor hosted the Vice Chancellor of British American University for a partnership meeting and special prize discounts at his residence. Similarly, on September 6, 2024, he hosted the Vice Chancellor of Wigwe University, Professor Marwan.
Over the past decade, OPM Church has provided university scholarships to over 17,000 students, both locally and internationally, covering countries like the USA, Canada, UK, Turkey, Poland, Cyprus, Dubai, Ghana, and Benin Republic. The church’s scholarship program is fully sponsored through tithes and offerings.
King Apostle Chibuzor expressed his hope that President Bola Tinubu will lift the ban on universities in Benin Republic and Togo, allowing OPM Church to continue its international scholarship program.
