HRM King Apostle Chibuzor’s efforts to provide access to education in Ikwuorie Ohanku Ndoki, Abia State, have led to a significant development. The community has introduced a fine for parents who fail to send their children to school, effective September 3, 2024. This measure aims to address the concerning trend of parents prioritizing farm work over their children’s education.
The decision was made during a meeting with local leaders, including chiefs, town council members, and youth leaders. The community is determined to ensure that every child has access to quality education, especially with the availability of free schools. HRM King Apostle Chibuzor’s establishment of the first OPM free school in Ohanku has been a game-changer, funded entirely by tithes and offerings from the OPM Church.
The new measure serves as a deterrent for parents who neglect their children’s educational needs. By introducing a fine, the community hopes to encourage parents to take their children’s education seriously and prioritize their future. This innovative approach highlights the community’s commitment to education and its determination to ensure that every child has a bright future.
