AKSG Assures Public Service Negotiating Council On Minimum Wage

 

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Labour and Manpower Planning, Elder Aniefiok Nkom has assured the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council, Akwa Ibom State Chapter of Governor Umo Eno’s awareness of the current economic situation in the State and his willingness to improve upon the lots of the Workers

Elder Nkom transmitted the message of assurance in his office on Tuesday 25th June, 2024 during an interface with the Joint Negotiation Council.

 

His words, “the Governor is a father who has the interest of his people at heart, he knows the situation at hand and will take the right steps”.

 

He further disclosed that the Governor is aware of the discussion of minimum wage at the Federal level and will make his position known when it is concluded.

 

The Labour boss charged them to intimate other Union leaders of the Governor’s position

 

The Chairman of JPSNC Comr. Etido Udo in response, thanked the Commissioner for being proactive as dialogue is a major tool of good governance. He promised to share the information accordingly.
