Deacon Celestine ugokwe, On Sunday , February 4th 2024 , admonished the brethren , charging them to live by the spirit of God as they engage in life journey for the new year, 2024.
The Deacon started this in his message to the church while admonishing the brethren in the 1st half of the church service in Assemblies of God church Medina , He acknowledged and appreciated the fact that Medina church has started the year well as well planned and implemented by the Host Rev, Rev Ihejiebi across the Medina sectional Churches.
Deacon retreated that admist all this good start of the Year with diversified prayers made, the church must begin to live and walk by the spirit of God for possible attainment of the desire results from prayers made .
In his message he said ” we have started the year well by laying good foundations with prayers . This has been a culture of AG across Nigeria having January for prayers before resuming activities for the year. So if you are an AG born , you know that this February is when we start our economic activities ”
Admonishing the brethren of Medina church , The senior Deacon in his message noted to the church , “we have done so well by the way we started the year with so much of prayers such as we have not prayed before .
“Admidst all these good start, we must live and Walk by the spirit of God so that we can get the desire results of our prayers. walking by the spirit of God is the fertilizer that fertilizes all the ground that we have .
“As the year begins to run ,the question is which spirit would control or leads your life ?
Deacon in his message , emphasized that it’s better that we walk by the spirit of God he said “it is walking in the spirit of God that would enable you not to gratify the lost of the flesh” .
His message text which reads from Galassians 5 vs 16 – 21, Deacon noted that ” when the church was sincerely been led by the spirit of God , Christians were leading the World , the history is there to confirm to you that the church lost it’s place of leadership the world when it allowed the lost of the flesh to set in ”
According to the message by Deconess ugokwe , we can only walk in the spirit of God by :
*walking away from sin.
*walking in Truth
*walking in prayers
*total dependance on God
*and prayerfully approach every matter of life .
He noted that “the problem of human being started when we began to seek it our own way He concluded by charging the church to walk in the spirit of God .
Relatively, Deacon Eze charge the men in the Sunday school to be Self equip with God, s word and install same in the family. He stated,
“when the word of God is in the family, there would be Peace, understanding, cooperation and each member would understand his or her responsibilities and do them deligently ”
Deacon Eze Cletus said this while teaching on the Sunday school topic which says” God” word in the Home ” with a memory verse from from Deuteronomy 6:7
As the General council of Assemblies of God Nigeria has set aside a Sunday school to focus on family impecful teachings for the entire month of February installing morally sound christians families across the country.
