Angry Police Sidechick Shots Her Lover and His Wife (Photos)

In Opelousas, Louisiana, a disturbing incident unfolded as a police chief and his wife found themselves hospitalized with gunshot wounds, allegedly inflicted by the chief’s enraged sidechick.

According to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, Police Chief Graig LeBlanc and his wife, Crystal LeBlanc, both sustained gunshot injuries during a domestic altercation at a residence just beyond Opelousas city limits. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz characterized the shooting as stemming from a domestic issue.

The residence, owned by Opelousas Police officer Savannah Butler, became the scene of turmoil as the situation escalated. Police Chief LeBlanc and his wife were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Graig LeBlanc, also a captain at the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, finds himself embroiled in an investigation launched by the same law enforcement agency. Initial reports suggest that Crystal LeBlanc visited the home to confront her husband, leading to a heated argument between the couple. It was during this confrontation that Savannah, purportedly Graig’s side piece, brandished a firearm upon entering the doorway.

In an attempt to disarm Savannah, Graig extended his hand, only to be shot in the process. Tragically, the bullet passed through his hand and struck his wife, Crystal, in the arm.

Following the incident, Savannah voluntarily surrendered herself to the St. Landry Parish jail. She posted a $22,000 bond and was subsequently released.

In a candid acknowledgment of his actions, Greg LeBlanc expressed remorse for his role in the altercation, acknowledging his failure to uphold personal and professional standards. He extended sincere apologies to his wife, family, all involved parties, and the community, recognizing the breach of trust that occurred.
