Why Dangote Refinery Is Buying Crude Oil From The US – Reno Omokri

In a recent statement, Reno Omokri has shed light on the motivations behind Dangote Refinery’s procurement of crude oil from the United States, dismissing notions of failure surrounding the refinery and the NNPC.

Omokri attributes the celebration of this development to individuals eager for Nigeria’s failure, speculating that such sentiments are fueled by a desire for secession.

Highlighting the pre-existing contracts securing Nigeria’s crude oil cargoes and the nation’s OPEC quota, Omokri contends that this practice is not unprecedented. Drawing a parallel to past challenges faced during the National Integrated Power Project, he underscores the constraints imposed by pre-existing contracts on the NNPC’s ability to supply NIPP gas.

Emphasizing that the Dangote Refinery is a private entity, Omokri asserts that its procurement from the U.S. is a strategic business decision aimed at meeting targets and timelines. He likens this practice to the United States sourcing crude oil from various countries, including Mexico, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.

Omokri concludes by debunking the notion of failure, insisting that the move reflects the refinery’s pragmatic approach to securing raw materials globally. In a candid tone, he suggests that those interpreting the situation as failure have, in fact, witnessed a failure of their own senses.
