Akwa Ibom Pastor Dumps Christ, Converts to Traditional Religion After 10 Years in Ministry

By Oga Yenne

An Akwa Ibom Son, a former pastor for many years since 2013 just dumped Christianity for Traditional African Religion.

He has trashed everything about his faith in Christ and now proudly addresses himself as a “NATIVE DOCTOR”

I have been his friend on Facebook for years now. I used to notice and follow his Ministerial work online until yesterday when Facebook distributed one of his posts to my timeline. With the horrific pictures of shrines and sacrifices I saw on his timeline, I thought his account was hacked but scrolling downward, I discovered this guy had taken a decision that I still found so strange and difficult to believe.

I understand he once told me how he has been struggling in ministry, how life is hard and difficult for him, he no one is willing to help him, and how he has served different men of God since 2013 but in the end they will refuse to help him, how they use and discard him at will, some of them accusing him of things he never did just to get rid of him and all of that. At one point he was so depressed and even started dropping suicidal posts on Facebook.

As a Christian myself, this is no good news for me but I respect his decision

Is this how people wake up one day to denounce Christ, all they preached and believed for years and take a new path of religion? I’m really unhappy.

As Christians, we honestly need to be careful of the things we do and how we treat our brethren so we don’t force them into making decisions they wouldn’t have considered if they were treated better.

Like this, I now have a native doctor and spiritualist as a Friend on Facebook. Oh dah!

God abeg o
