A member of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, representing Tsafe West and chairman, House Committee on Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Amiru Ahmed Keta has justified the supplementary budget presented to the House by Governor, Dauda Lawal.
The lawmaker stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Gusau, the State capital.
Keta further explained that the past administration abandoned a lot of developmental projects that have direct bearing on the people of Zamfara State.
“Immediately the committee on budget presented to the House the supplementary budget, we deliberated on it and did the needful, after first, second and third readings, we subsequently approved the said amount.
“The supplementary budget of over N4b is not much, considering that some other States proposed up to N20b as supplementary budget, but here in Zamfara State, it is just a minor supplementary budget.
“The State House of Assembly is working hand in hand with the executive arm of government in order to bring positive changes to the State.
“As you can see, our government has achieved a lot within the few months that we were elected into office,” he said
