Renowned Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, currently stands as one of the most captivating figures globally.
Recently, he was honored with the title of “Outstanding Georgia Citizen,” adding to his list of accolades.
Davido, the acclaimed singer behind hits like “Unavailable,” actively participates in the Georgia State General Assembly meetings. During a recent session, he proudly showcased the award bestowed upon him by the parliament in recognition of his exceptional contributions.
Expressing his elation, the Nigerian-American singer shared a video capturing the memorable moment on Instagram, posting it on December 1st, 2023. This recognition follows the City of Houston in the United States declaring every July 7 as “Davido Day,” underscoring his impact beyond borders.
Born on November 21st, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido spent his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria. He entered the music scene as a member of the group KB International, marking the beginning of a remarkable career.
As Davido received the “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” certificate, joy radiated through the assembly, prompting members to rise and applaud him for this significant achievement.
