Wike: We Are In Difficult Period, Be Peaceful – Fubara To Rivers People

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State is advocating for a tranquil environment, emphasizing the challenging phase the state is currently navigating.

Highlighting the importance of a peaceful setting, Fubara asserts that it is crucial for his administration to realize its developmental goals.

This call for peace comes in the backdrop of an ongoing feud between the governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, contributing to heightened political tensions within the state.

Fubara underscores that meaningful progress is unattainable amidst a climate marred by violence, stressing the need for a harmonious atmosphere.

These sentiments were expressed by the governor during the funeral service of the late King Theophilus J.T. Princewill, Amachree XI, the Amanyanabo, and Natural Ruler of the Kalabari Kingdom. The service took place at the King Amachree Square in Buguma Town, Asari Toru Local Government Area on Thursday.

According to Fuabara: β€œWe are in a difficult period, but just be peaceful. We cannot achieve progress in an environment of violence. We cannot grow our State to the level of our aspirations when there is trouble.

β€œWe can only advance to our dream State in a peaceful environment. I urge every one of you to be peaceful. Peace is the only instrument that can bring development.”
