The Court of Appeal in Lagos has upheld the September 25 State Election Tribunal ruling that upheld the election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat as governor and deputy governor of Lagos State.
Today, November 15, a three-judge panel consisting of Justices Yargata Nyimpah, Samuel Bola, and Paul Bussey dismissed the motion of the PDP candidate in the March 18 gubernatorial election, Abdulazeez Adediran (aka Jandor).
The judges ruled that his motion was without merit. Jandor and his party had failed to prove the allegations of forgery and disqualification against Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, they said.
‘They were all pre-election issues, yet the appellants (PDP and Adeniran) failed to prove them. The appellants came empty-handed and left empty-handed. They simply enjoyed their day in court. Their motion is dismissed.
