Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) expressed her aversion to occupying the back seats in the Senate on Monday.
Her recent induction as a senator followed the Court of Appeal’s validation of a tribunal decision that removed Abubakar Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In an Instagram post, Akpoti-Uduaghan attributed her dislike for back seats to being an ‘efiko,’ a local term for a studious individual. She lamented that upon her arrival at the Senate, the prime seats had already been claimed by others.
“So we had an emergency session today … still found myself sitting at the back of the hall. The efiko in me hates back seats 😂. But what can I do? Best seats are already taken!!!” she wrote.
Akpoti-Uduaghan said her husband Emmanuel Uduaghan’s visit lifted her spirit.
“Then baby boo came visiting which renewed my energy. Guess what we talked about,” she wrote.
She concluded that the management team of telecoms giant MTN paid a visit to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
“Exhausted and sleepy but have to study a few pages of the Senate’s Rules to catch up quickly since I missed the orientation exercise,” she wrote.
