In a triumphant moment, President Bola Tinubu was captured on camera celebrating in his office following the Supreme Court’s ruling.
The apex court, on Thursday, delivered a decisive judgment, dismissing all appeals against Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th election.
This decision reaffirmed the verdict of the tribunal, which convened at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Notably, the court asserted its lack of jurisdiction to admit fresh evidence presented by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and subsequently rejected his appeal.
In a similar vein, the appeal brought forth by the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was also deemed without merit.
Moments after the court’s momentous decision, a video originating from the State House in Abuja captured President Tinubu jubilantly celebrating his triumph at the highest court in the nation, surrounded by his aides.
“Ajuri, your job is secured,” Tinubu told his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
Among those who were in the president’s office at the time was the minister of marine and blue economy, Gboyega Oyetola; and Tinubu’s aide-de-camp Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf.
