UNIPORT Undergraduate Found Dead in Lover’s Apartment, Suspect Arrested

A tragic incident has unfolded in Rivers State, where a student from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Justina Otuene, was discovered lifeless at her lover’s residence.

This grim discovery comes as a shock to many, especially her fellow students and loved ones.

Collins, who was identified as Otuene’s partner and a key figure in her life, has been taken into custody by the authorities as part of their ongoing investigation.

The grim scene of this tragedy was at her lover’s house, situated along NTA Road in Mgbuoba, within the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. This incident has left the community and the university community deeply saddened and concerned.

The distressing story began four days ago when Ms. Otuene was reported missing, causing widespread alarm. Just prior to her disappearance, she was engaged in her industrial training attachment at a prominent private hospital located in the D/Line area of Port Harcourt, and this was where she was last seen.

This unfortunate turn of events has cast a somber shadow over the university and the region as the community mourns the untimely loss of a young and promising student. The circumstances surrounding her demise and the ongoing investigation will hopefully provide answers and closure for her family, friends, and the community at large.

Reports said Otuene’s body was found mutilated as her b*e*s*s and eyes were missing.

A source said that after carrying out the alleged murder the suspect “kept her body in his apartment for three days and just when he wanted to dispose her corpse in refuse dump, a vigilante group in the area accosted him, leading to his arrest.”

Commissioner of police Emeka Nwaonyi is expected to address the public on the matter on Thursday.
