A coroner court convened in the Ikorodu region of Lagos has issued summons to musicians Naira Marley and Primeboy, along with socialite Sam Larry, in connection with the tragic demise of singer Mohbad.
Coroner Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi has called upon these three individuals to attend a court hearing scheduled for October 25. This hearing is part of an ongoing investigation aimed at uncovering the precise cause of Mohbad’s controversial death, which occurred on September 12 in Lagos.
The coroner has directed the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, to ensure the presence of Naira Marley, Primeboy, and Sam Larry at the upcoming adjourned date on October 25.
The court did not however invite the nurse whom the police considered one of the prime suspects in the case.
Last week, the police said that Naira Marley and Sam Larry are being held for alleged cyberbullying, threats to life, and assault resulting in harm to Mohbad.
Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa said that Primeboy was complicit in the case because he gave Mohbad a life-threatening injury during a fight.
Primeboy submitted himself to the police last Thursday after he was declared wanted by the police for allegedly failing to honour invitation for questioning. He, however, told the news media before turning himself in that he did not get any invitation from the police.
