The spouse of the former Senate President, Toyin Saraki, has initiated a libel lawsuit against three individuals in Ilorin. They stand accused of making false claims that she acquired the Children’s Amusement Park in Ilorin for her private benefit.
This legal action was formally submitted at the Kwara State High Court in Ilorin.
The defendants, namely Saliu Ajia, Saad Omoiya, and Saleh Garba, failed to appear in court on the designated day. The legal representative for the plaintiff also informed the court about the challenges encountered while attempting to serve them with notice.
Justice H. O. Ajayi granted the prayer of the plaintiff’s counsel and ordered that the defendants be served through substituted means.
The judge noted that the process should be published in at least two local newspapers and one national daily.
The court adjourned the matter till December 11.
