Nigeria@63: Adeboye Prays for Divine Healing, Total Freedom

On a Sunday, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), led his congregation in a special prayer session to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary.

Addressing the faithful at the RCCG headquarters, known as The Throne of Grace in Ebute-Metta, Pastor Adeboye delved into the theme of “Freedom Indeed.”

With fervor and faith, he offered prayers not only for the nation itself but also for its political leaders, officials in various government parastatals, the judiciary, and government functionaries.

His compassionate prayers extended to prisoners and captives, encompassing both those physically confined and those ensnared in spiritual captivity, along with their families. Furthermore, he urged all Nigerians to earnestly seek genuine and comprehensive freedom.

Pastor Adeboye drew from the scriptures to emphasize the intricate nature of human existence. He expounded that man is composed of spirit, soul, and body, as indicated in sacred texts. This insight shed light on the profound idea that individuals can experience bondage or enslavement in any aspect of their tripartite being.

“It is not the will of God that man should be in bondage, spiritually, physically or materially.

“If you are sick, poor, always afraid, you are not free, you are in bondage, hence the scriptures proffer the solution that if Jesus Christ can set you free, you will be free indeed,” he said.

Pastor Adebayo Adeyemo, who leads the RCCG Throne of Grace, expressed his gratitude for the leadership of Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of having a president who is knowledgeable and capable. In his address, he reassured Nigerians, stating that there is hope and progress on the horizon.
