Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Suleiman Umar, is mourning the loss of his father, Dauda Umar, who passed away at the age of 83.
The late Mr. Umar was a distinguished accountant and administrator, with a long and dedicated career in various local government councils within Kaduna State.
On Tuesday, in Zaria, the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli, led a solemn gathering of council members, district heads, and numerous sympathizers in offering their funeral prayers for the departed soul.
The remains of the ambassador’s father were laid to rest at the Amaru Muslim burial ground in Kaura Ward of Zaria Local Government Area.
The deceased is survived by wives, children and many grandchildren.
Meanwhile, the ambassador was born on December 3, 1963 in the then Zaria Native Authority. He grew up in Zaria and attended Kaura Local Education Authority, Primary School from 1969 to 1975.
