Police Summon Armed Officers Escorting Adamawa University SUG President for Disciplinary Action

Spokesman for the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced that the police have issued summonses to two armed personnel. They were captured on video escorting the President of the Adamawa State University Student Union Government (SUG) to a convention venue.

The video footage depicting these policemen escorting the vehicle carrying the SUG president has ignited a wave of criticism directed at the police.

At the time of this press release, the identity of the SUG president remained undisclosed.

Reacting to the video on Wednesday, Adejobi wrote in a post on X that the policemen had been identified.

He added that they are to report to the police headquarters, noting that the Force would not tolerate indecency.

“These policemen have been identified. They are to report to the FHQ for further actions. There is no room for indecency, complacency, and unethical conducts,” he wrote.
