Emelogu Road: Between Opposition and Lack of Shame - Ferdinand Ekeoma

Lack of shame inspires audacity of criminality.

In June 2020 you celebrated the construction of Emelogu Road, Aba, sadly, just like most of your awarawa roads, Emelogu collapsed within one year, causing pains and anguish to motorists and other road users.

Within his first three months in office, the Governor that was elected by the people, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR swung into action and began serious and solid work on Emelogu in a bid to ameliorate the sufferings of the people. Note, the Governor didn’t make any statement blaming Ikpeazu ooo.

Pained by the applause and accolade trailing the Governor’s swift and decisive action which manifestes commitment, capacity and compassion, you are all over the social media and radio stations singing Songs of Lamentation and insulting our sensibilities that the Governor did not acknowledge that the road was first built by Okezie Ikpeazu. Una no dey shame?

How can people be so audacious to the point of indirectly admitting that they used substandard road projects to siphon public funds?

How can you be telling us that government is a continuum and that we should do projects that Ikpeazu didn’t do, and yet be angry and bitter that Governor Otti is rebuilding roads Ikpeazu had collected money for and didn’t build well?

Like our Great Leader, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi would say; Go and Verify, I would like to urge Abians to go and verify and they’ll confirm that Ikpeazu did a terribly poor job, hence Governor Otti is doing the job again.

You people should be ready to cry more, because the Government is going to do much more in those places Ikpeazu failed woefully.
