Actress Moyo Lawal addressed the recent viral s*x tape incident that surfaced on social media over the weekend.
In the video, the Badagry-born star can be seen engaging in a sexual act with an individual she later identified as her former fiancé.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Moyo Lawal expressed her distress, emphasizing that the video had been shared online without her consent.
“A private video of mine from a while ago has been inappropriately shared without my consent, violating my privacy and trust,” her statement began.
“I want to emphasise that this video was done with my ex whom I was to marry at that time, was never intended for public consumption and its unauthorised distribution is a breach of my boundaries. However, this criminal breach of privacy will be treated with legal action.”
Moyo added that she had maintained a strict approach to her sexuality and had gone celibate for several years, refusing to date.
She said she would not allow the incident to “break my spirit,” thanking all who have contacted her to offer support.
In her caption, she said she would not speak publicly anymore about the incident.
