Inspector-General Of Police Redeploys Frank Mba, Ciroma, Other Promoted DIGs, AIGs

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has taken action to restructure the leadership within the police force by issuing orders for the posting and redeployment of seven deputy inspectors-general of police (DIGs) to various departments. This move comes in response to the recent promotions of deserving officers to the distinguished rank of DIGs by the Police Service Commission.

According to a statement released on Tuesday by Force Public Relations Officer (PRO) Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the reshuffling of key positions includes the redeployment of DIG Bala Ciroma, who will now assume the crucial role of heading the Department of Finance and Administration.

Additionally, DIG Frank Mba has been assigned to oversee the Department of Training and Development, while DIG Habu Sani will take charge of the Force Intelligence Bureau.

Others are DIG Usman Nagogo to Department of Logistics and Supply, DIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro, to Department of Information and Communication Technology, DIG Ibrahim Ka’oje, to Department of Research and Planning, and DIG Ede Ekpeji to head the Department of Operations.

Similarly, the IGP has approved the posting of the following assistant inspectors-general of police to the following Commands and Formations as indicated against their names. AIG Oladimeji Olanrewaju has been posted as the Force Secretary, AIG Yekini Ayoku, to head the Police Mobile Force, AIG Idris Dauda, to Zone 16 Yenagoa, AIG Oyediran Oyeyemi, to head the Police Cooperative, and AIG Benjamin Nebeolisa, to AIG Department of ICT.

“Furthermore, the IGP charges the newly posted and redeployed senior officers to entrench professionalism in their respective Departments, Commands, and Formations while prioritizing human security and people-centric policing services,” the statement said.
