On Tuesday, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, was welcomed by former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina state.
During the visit, Buhari accompanied the monarch to the palace of Umar Farouq Umar, the Emir of Daura.
The ex-president additionally gifted a majestic horse to the Benin monarch.
Following his conclusion of presidential terms, Buhari has been welcoming dignitaries at his residence in his hometown of Daura since May 29.
