Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, led by General Overseer Rev. Sam Aboyeji, has refuted allegations of being engaged in land sales, purchases, and allocations in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and its surroundings.
In response to a letter dated August 10, 2021, addressed to all subscribers of the mentioned land transactions by the directors and management of Fourmodel Estate Ltd, Karismata Estate Ltd, and McPherson Estate Limited, which oversee the land dealings, the church’s board of trustees clarified that it has no role in managing these estates.
National secretary of the church, Reverend Yomi Oyinloye, in a press release signed on Friday and made available to reporters, said: βThe members of the incorporated Trustees and Board Members of the Foursquare Church in Nigeria are not directors, owners and are not involved in the management of the respective estates. The companies are separate entities.β
Oyinloye noted that it is, therefore, clear that those who may have or still be using the name of the church in relation to land transactions are doing so without the consent or authorisation of the churchβs authority and that linking the church with any such transactions is preposterous and misleading.
