Lagos Social Media Director Atansuyi bags PhD in Mass Communication

Olajide Atansuyi, the Director of Social Media at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, recently achieved a remarkable milestone by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in mass communication from Babcock University in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State. This accomplishment comes after a dedicated four-year journey in the doctorate program.

Notably, Olajide Atansuyi’s achievement marks a significant distinction, as he becomes the pioneer public affairs officer within the state’s civil service to hold a PhD. This accomplishment not only underscores his dedication to professional growth but also sets an inspiring example for his colleagues and the broader community.

His thesis is entitled: Rhetorical Strategies, Ideology and Power Discourse Framing in Social Media Political Campaign Posts of Selected Presidential Candidates towards Nigeria’s 2023 Election.”

Permanent secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Olumide Sogunle said the feat not only shows Atansuyi’s commitment to scholarly excellence but also positions the state government at the forefront of cutting-edge communication strategies.
