Aba-based attorney Ifunanya Grant, nicknamed the “baddest lawyer,” has strongly criticized the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for its recent action. The association’s decision to file a complaint against her with the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) has raised significant concerns.
According to a statement released on Saturday by NBA spokesperson Akorede Lawal, the association has officially reported Grant to the LPDC. This move comes in response to multiple complaints regarding Grant’s social media content, where she allegedly shares explicit pictures and videos of herself while engaging in activities like smoking marijuana.
Grant, however, posted several photos and videos on Facebook on Sunday, urging her fans to tell those looking for her that she is unavailable.
“Before I can light up my Igbo (Indian hemp), do you have any advice for Me?
“Note: Tell those people wey dey find me say I’m unavailable,” she wrote.
Following a question by one of her followers on Twitter, Grant responded: “Tell them say David k!||Ed Goliath.”
Responding to a comment that she could be tried and jailed, she said: “Abégi shift.”
When confronted with another person’s prediction of her imminent imprisonment, she defiantly responded, “Then get ready to accompany me.”
In response to the question of whether her legal studies were aimed at undermining the law, Grant countered, “If INEC can declare Tinubu as president, why wouldn’t they?”
