Currently, the CHIEF MRS AHUOMA ANYASO EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION is undergoing renovations in order to enhance the educational facilities and resources accessible to the students. Dr. Anyaso’s vision for the foundation is to enhance educational opportunities within the community and provide students with the best possible chance of success. This forward-thinking work is a significant milestone for the Igbere community and exemplifies how the charitable actions of one person can make a positive impact on humanity.
The foundation focuses on delivering quality education to underprivileged children from nursery to primary school age in the Igbere community. Chima, when reflecting on how the Ahuoma Anyaso foundation began, explained that whilst constructing his country home, he encountered young children roaming around the village without a nursery school to attend.
It was this realization that compelled him to set aside his personal project and establish a school where these children could receive an education, enabling their parents to attend to other pressing matters. Consequently, Chima is under pressure to expand the school to the Secondary level as a means of giving back to the system.
Chima fervently believes that nursey/primary education is a fundamental right for every child, as it represents the foundation for success in all aspects of life. To him, investing in the foundation of education at the grassroots level is essential for building a better Nigeria, allowing children to lay a strong educational groundwork deserving of all.
While establishing the school, Chima felt blessed by God as he simultaneously completed his village home. Moreover, he emphasized that all the teachers in the school receive their salaries from him. Since its establishment in 2007, no student has been required to pay any school fees, as the institution operates on a tuition-free basis.
Furthermore, the founder of the school has made it a tradition to offer scholarships to the three highest-performing pupils, allowing them to pursue their studies in a secondary school of their choice, preferably within the vicinity. Chima’s future plans include expanding the school all the way up to the secondary level
