BREAKING! Biafra Separatists Kill 5 Soldiers Guarding Oil Workers After Ultimatum to Release Nnamdi Kanu

Suspected Biafra separatists have shot dead atleast five (5) soldiers guarding oil workers’ quarters in Bakassi Peninsula, IgbereTV has learned.

According to Converseer the incident happened around 8:00 am on Friday June 16 in Abana.

Not less than three oil workers were also injured during the attack.

Eyewitnesses said the militants numbering about five (5) were on white garments, forcing residents to flee the area, when they initiated the attack.

Several Biafran groups have been calling for a separate state of Biafra through a referendum.

Currently, they’re also calling on the Nigerian Government to release Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group fighting for the actualisation of the Biafra nation.

Nnamdi Kanu was abducted in Kenya and extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria; he has since been held at the facility on the Department of State Services in Abuja despite several court orders to release him.

IgbereTV recalls that the Biafra Nations League (BnL) initially warned that there won’t be peace in Bakassi, a Peninsula controlled by both Nigeria and Cameroon, if Nnamdi Kanu is not released.

The group also called on both countries to stop crude oil exploration in the area as they claim it belongs to the Biafra state
