ESN Ambush Armed Fulani Herdsmen Violating Enugu Ban on Open Grazing, Kill Many Cows (Photos)

The Eastern Security Network ESN Operatives have carried our clearance operation in Enugu State against Fulani herdsmen violating the Enugu State government ban of open Grazing in the State, IgbereTV reports.

The operation which reportedly took place within the Easter holidays saw many cows killed and the herdsmen scamper.

There has been several complains by the community over the destruction of their farmland by the herdsmen and their cows.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State had in September 2021 signed the anti-open grazing bill into law, at the Government House, Enugu.

The bill which is for a law to prohibit open grazing, regulate cattle ranching, and for connected purposes was earlier passed by the Enugu State House of Assembly.

Several attacks by armed herdsmen on communities have lead to scores of deaths in neighboring Benue state in recent weeks.
