Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi and his wife Margaret have voted in the Anambra State House of Assembly election.
The couple voted in Agulu, Anambra State where they performed similar exercise in the presidential and national assembly elections on February 25.
Mr. Obi shared pictures of him and his wife voting on Twitter.
“At about 11.20am this morning, I exercised my franchise by casting my vote in my polling unit. My dear wife Margaret also voted. I encourage every registered Nigerian voter, who has not yet voted to go and do so.
“Our votes must count in order for Nigeria’s democracy to flourish,” he wrote in the Twitter post.
Obi is challenging the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that he came third in the presidential election.
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner with 8,794,726 votes.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 6,984,520 votes while Obi secured 6,101,533 votes to come second and third respectively.
Obi and Mr. Abubakar have gone to court to challenge Mr Tinubu’s victory.
