Orji Kalu, Uche Ogah Face Of Our Party In Abia — APC Spokesperson | #IgbereTV
The Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC)in Abia State, Hon. Offor Okorie has slammed the press statement signed by one Okey Ezeala alleging that the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu is a drowning politician.
Okorie in a chat with newsmen on Thursday morning described Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who is the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District and a former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah as the face of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.
He stated that Ezeala was simply angry because Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is extensively campaigning for the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He posited that the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Ikechi Emenike lacked the needed capacity to lead the APC to wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party in the coming governorship elections in the State without the support of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Dr. Uche Ogah.
He cautioned the leadership of the party against listening to Ikechi Emenike, Ezeala and other unpopular members of the party in Abia State, saying:” We are seriously banking on the likes of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to deliver our presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Saturday’s election.
“Ikechi Emenike and his small group are meeting regularly with PDP members in Abia State on how to pull down Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu so that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s hard-work on giving APC victory will not manifest. These people are meeting with Peter Obi’s supporters and that of Atiku Abubakar and Saturday’s result in their areas shall expose their hatred for our presidential candidate. As long as people oriented politics continues to be played, Orji Kalu remains one of the most popular grass-root politician that can deliver any candidate. He will deliver Tinubu in Abia state ” Okorie said.
