PDP Group Alleges Nkeiruka Onyejeocha Behind Attack On Its Chieftain, Ikedi Ezekwesiri

The Umunneochi Chapter of the PDP Coalition has claimed that Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, the member representing Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, was behind the attack on its Chieftain and former member of the Abia State House of Assembly, Prince Paul Ikedi Ezekwesiri, IgbereTV reports.

As a result, the PDP pro group is alerting security agencies, Nigerians, and the international community to what it describes as coordinated attacks on PDP members and chieftains in Umunneochi Local Government Area.

However, the group described the unfortunate incident as “a well-coordinated armed attack on intimate members of the PDP in Umunneochi, particularly Chief Chris Igwe, Barr. Okey Igwe, Prince Paul Ikedi Ezekwesiri, Eze Chikamnayo, and others opposing Nkeiruka Onyejeocha’s 5th term bid.”

The group’s Umunneochi Local Government Area Coordinator, Odoemelam Samuel, stated in a statement that the good people of Umunneochi are not deterred by Onyejeocha’s attempts to intimidate and harass them into supporting her reelection in 2023.

Remember that the immediate-past member of the Abia State House of Assembly representing Umunneochi state constituency, Hon. Ikedi Ezekwesiri, was shot earlier this month by unidentified gunmen.

The incident occurred on the former lawmaker’s way back from Enugu.

He claimed that his 11-year-old son was in his Prado jeep with him when they came across the hoodlums, who suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on them.

Although he narrowly escaped, the hoodlums’ bullets shattered his left hand.

Our correspondent was unable to reach Reps Onyejeocha to respond to the allegation because her phone number was unavailable.
