Governor Ikpeazu noted that Hon. Amaechi did the correct thing by opting to express his appreciation to God publicly for saving his life from a ruptured appendicitis. The Governor challenged Christians to make it a habit to give thanks and appreciate God and their fellow human beings when they receive good things. Governor Ikpeazu expressed confidence that one of the reasons God preserved the life of Hon. Amaechi was because he still had a lot of work to do for Him and his people.

He congratulated Hon. Amaechi and his wife, Theresa together with their children and prayed for God’s continued protection upon the family.
The Governor also promised to identify with the church in their church building project

Speaking earlier, Hon Amaechi said he is alive today simply because God graciously permitted it. According to him, the challenge he faced ob account of his health problems was more than enough to kill him, a fact he said the doctors also confirmed after the surgical procedure.

He thanked the Governor and his wife for being part of the service despite their extremely tight schedule today. He also presented gifts to the church.

The leadership of the Church also prayed for the Governor and presented him with a Bible and a recognition as Kingdom Builder..

Wife of the Governor, Dr Nkechi Ikpeazu, the pioneer Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Abia State, Chief Theo Nkire and his wife were amongst other dignitaries at the service.
