Yes, that Charles Soludo will Fail in his new role as Governor of Anambra State.

Charles Soludo will not fail because he planned to fail.
He will not fail because he is not capable. He will fail because the society is programmed to make even the best of us failures…
Until our society is Re-Engineered, reprogrammed and reformed, the most intelligent of us will end up as a mere object of mockery when placed in power.
The Nigerian Society is crude, hostile, deeply deceptive and quite untruthful. The honest is tagged weak while manipulators are tagged smart. Until we stop celebrating the ability of a manipulator to outsmart an honest person, and start placing honor on the honest, the likes of Charles Soludo will never succeed in office.
Let me make this prediction – at the end of Charles Soludo’s tenure, he will come out tainted, stained and dishonored by the same society he desired to save.
Currently, the municipal offices of his local government area is on fire. This was designed to create an artificial insecurity narrative in his home town. This artificial insecurity will be hijacked by those who have sworn that he will fail to cause him to fail. In truth, no single man is stronger than a system. So Soludo’s efforts will be swallowed by the manipulations of the system and the great intellectual will fail. It will be said that “he couldn’t even secure his own town”.
The next aspirants in the next Anambra election will come from the same usual political cabal and they will mock Soludo’s intelligence. They will deceive the people that Intellectualism is not a requirement for successful leadership. The people will believe them and they will steal back the power – leaving Soludo high and dry. Soludo will join the list of governors who failed in Nigeria.
But in truth, he didn’t fail…. They people failed. The system failed. The society failed. The deceivers won.
As Aguata goes up in flames, I am reminded that the problem of Nigeria is not only bad leadership but a manipulative, deceptive and dishonest society who celebrate the wicked and dishonor the truthful.
