A former commissioner for finance and economic planning in Delta State Kenneth Okpara has died, a state official announced on Friday.
Mr Okpara, who was commissioner under the Emmanuel Uduaghan administration, died in the early hours of the day.
Commissioner for urban renewal Arthur Akpowowo confirmed this in a Facebook post.
“Eku will remember you for a long time to come. RIP Kenneth O. Okpara,” he wrote.
Okpara was a former governorship aspirant in Delta State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He hailed from Eku community of Agbon Kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
