General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Monday described Bishop David Oyedepo as a true child of God.
Adeboye said in a post to social media to mark the bishop’s 67th birthday that he honours Oyedepo’s consistency and dedication to Godly affairs.
The 79-year-old clergyman joked that he had to celebrate his younger colleague on social media, despite a phone call, because of his ‘children’.
“Happy birthday my dear Bishop. As at the time of posting this, you got my Birthday Phone Call already but this needs to be posted as my Children will say ‘Social Media’.
“You are a true Child of God and I honor your consistency and dedication to the things of God. On the Occasion of your 67th birthday it is my Prayer that God almighty will continue to take you from Glory to Glory and from Strength to Strength in Jesus name,” said Adeboye.
Although, Adeboye and Oyedepo wield great influence in the country with large Christian following, the latter considers the former his “father in the Lord.”
Several younger clerics such as Biodun Fatoyinbo and Poju Oyemade among others also celebrated Oyedepo on social media.
