IPOB Members Allegedly Disrupt WAEC Exams In Imo

A video has emerged of how some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday allegedly disrupted the ongoing West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exam at the Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume community in Njaba Local Governmet Area of Imo State.

The video shows how students and invigilators were chased out of the exam hall before the roof of the hall was set on fire.

Although the separatist group had called off its sit-at-home directive on Mondays in the south-east, people in the region still observe the exercise.

The affected students were billed to write English Language exam.

The video also showed how some motorcycles allegedly belonging to some students were set ablaze in the process.

Imo police spokesperson Mike Abattam told NAN that the police are running checks on the video clips to ascertain the truth before issuing a statement.

“Yes we have seen the video, we are still verifying its authenticity because anything can happen on social media,” he said.
